*Shauna was a student of the school for 16 ½ years. She passed away in 2001 and is sadly missed. We honour her memory every year with this award as well as a dance piece in which Shauna choreographed the first 3 steps before she passed. The piece entitled "Forever Celtic Friends' will live on forever!! Compassion, dedication, camaraderie and the pure joy of dance are the qualities we remember of Shauna, so this award is given each year to the student exemplifying these attributes!

*This is in honour of Mrs. Forrester's mother and named after her, was a giant supporter of our culture and instilled her passion for dance through her daughter and now, granddaughters. She had a wonderful sense of humour and watching her daughters dance were priceless moments for her and she always had a smile on her face after any performance. She was also a founding member of the first All girls Sydney Pipeband. Each year, we look for a student possessing these special qualities.
