Invited to represent Canada during the World Folkfest in Utah, USA. The people of Springville,Utah, where most of the shows took place were exceptional hosts. They took the performers to see many historic sights including many of the beautiful Mormon Temples, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Sundance, Bridal Veil Falls & Salt Lake City. The only down part of the trip is when Shannon (Eileen’s daughter and teacher of the “Reel Precision Stepdancers”) landed in the hospital as soon as they arrived in Salt Lake City with pneumonia. The staff at Mountainview Hospital in Payson, Utah were exceptional, especially Dr. Brent Jones. Shannon danced a wee step during the final shows at the end of the folkfest and presented the festival with a gift during the closing ceremonies.

On the way to Salt Lake City, a few of the dancers were excited to have their picture taken with Geraldo Rivera in Boston Airport!!

We can’t wait to return and renew friendships!!
