The Forrester Centre, established itself in 2017, was built in 1931 and was the home of former Sydney River and Area Kinsmen, and prior to that, Saint Mark's Parish Hall.
Today, The Forrester Centre is Cape Breton's luxurious Arts, Performance, Events, Food establishment and Lounge, specializing in private high-end experiences spread over two levels, the upper level known as The Kastle and the lower level known as The Krypt. We are pleased to provide Food and Beverage service over both levels, under the direction of our in-house Food and Beverage service provider, Kilted Kuisine.
Owned and operated by Shannon Forrester, Shannon’s vision was create a beautiful and unique space for learning the art of dance, live performance, private corporate events, special events, food experiences, educational workshops and much more.
THE FORRESTER CENTRE
The beautiful and elegant design elements used throughout the centre are very symbolic and reminiscent of our Scottish and Celtic culture, but with splashes of contemporary elegance. From our custom made Forrester Tartan doors, to our floor to ceiling stone work, lanterns, and large oversized cascading chandeliers, The Forrester Centre is a perfect back drop for any event and production.
Specializing in private events up to 100 spread over two levels, we look forward to curating a unique one-of-a-kind premium experience for you, your guests, or your business colleagues. Additionally, we are pleased to curate our own signature experiences encompassing live music, food, beverage, ambiance, and more such as 'Ribs & Reels', 'The Seafood & Song Sampler', 'Kilted Kuisine's Intimate Dining Experiences', 'Work Week Wine Downs', and much more! For couples interested in exploring the possibility of holding your wedding at the Forrester Centre, please note, we specialize in small, intimate, and romantic experiences such as Elopements, Wee Weddings, Pop Up Weddings, and our newly launched 'Wee Still Do' - The Vow Renewal. We provide full on-site service for your special day, partnered with a specially chosen team of industry professionals to help create your premium experience, in the presence of those who matter most.
